This is an archive of a fair portion of my photos that I've taken since 1999. They're not necessarily of interest to anyone but family and friends and probably of little interest to them as well but here they are anyway.
The first pictures are taken with my old Cannon A5 Zoom so they're pretty low resolution. From 2003 on I use my Panasonic NV-GX7, which although it's a video camera it takes higher resolution stills.
I got myself a shiny new Pentax S5z for my birthday 2005 so I've been able to take much better pictures since then as well as MPEG4 videos. Unfortunately the photographer is no more skilled than before so don't expect too much.
Early panoramas are generated by the Cannon photosticher software that came with my A5 Zoom. The version I have only runs on Mac OS < 10 so I haven't been able to run it for ages but that was OK as my Panasonic doesn't have a panorama assist mode anyway. Later panoramas are generated using hugin which although is complex to use produces pretty good results. I tried to stitch panoramas together with the ACD See Stitcher software that came with my Pentax camera but the results were pretty dire.
I've also included the videos I've taken on my Pentax as well as some older ones from my camcorder that I've edited up, initially using iMovie on my PowerBook and then Kino on my FreeBSD system. I have also converted the videos from my Pentax to a more standard ISO MPEG4 format as what they call MPEG4 is not what anyone else calls it apparently, being AVI format with an M4S2 codec.
The photos are hierarchically arranged by year, month and day. You can see the original sized photo by clicking on the scaled images.
The galleries are produced by my own GalGen HTML Gallery Generator.
Enjoy.
